A journey back to your most brave, brilliant and balanced self.
Next cohort starts - 14-17 November, 2019.
Why join us?
"I want every woman I know to experience this weekend." - Helen.
It's easy to get caught up in life - spending too much time doing good for others, and neglecting the good we also need to do for ourselves. The Escape is an opportunity to change that.
Inspired by personal experiences of overcoming confidence, resilience and purpose challenges, we created this supportive and inspiring space for you to unplug from the real world, work on your goals, break through your challenges and feel recharged for the outside world. There is something unstoppable about the peer support women can offer each other. Each Escape focuses on building a trusting community of women, who have your back from the moment you arrive through to the next big milestone life will throw at you on the outside.
What to expect
What to expect
Three days and three nights focused on you, surrounded by the beautiful Kent countryside and a group of incredible women. We kick off with dinner at 7pm on Thursday and finish at 3pm on Sunday.
The retreat is followed by three months of peer coaching support, including a 1-1 coaching session with a qualified life coach, to keep you accountable to your goals. We wrap up the journey with a final face-to-face workshop with your cohort to help you reconnect with each other and your intentions. After the formal programme ends, you'll be welcomed into our alumna community.
A carefully curated programme of workshops, activities and rest. The sessions are designed to support you to reflect and refocus your goals, explore what's standing in your way and develop strategies and rituals for becoming your most brilliant self. You'll leave with a practical set of tools that you can take into the every day.
A nourishing and delicious vegan menu. We'll supply three meals a day, plenty of snacks and a few glasses of wine for your evening meals. When we can, we’ll cook on fire and eat under the stars.
You'll sleep with your peers in a large dormitory in an old Victorian mill. Hot showers and bedding are provided, but we do ask that you bring your own towel.
Time to reconnect with nature - think walks, runs, meditation and wild swimming in the day time, and campfires at night.
Open space - a chance to share a 'gift' with the group - whether it's leading meditation or an art class, sharing your love for Zumba, henna, or whiskey, or hosting a conversation about something you care about.
Friends for life - a supportive network of 14 peers who have your back for the days and months ahead. A structured peer support programme and incredible alumna network, with meet ups all over the country.

“This retreat was life changing. At its essence it was a weekend in beautiful surroundings, with extraordinary people, being nourished in all senses of the word. But for me it was so much more. It was an opportunity and a space to confront fears I didn't know I had and reclaim dreams I had almost forgotten. I left that field feeling more powerful than I've ever felt and the decisions and commitments I made that weekend have profoundly shaped my life since. No matter who you are or what you're looking for, just go!"
Who should come?
The Escape was designed as a space to help women doing good in the world to thrive.
Whether your struggling with burnout, low confidence, feeling lonely in a new city or have just lost your direction and need to press reset on your life and work goals, we believe the power of a supportive peer group and dedicated time to work on yourself in an inspiring and nourishing setting, can help you get back on track.
We welcome all self-identifying women. Our participants come from a wide range of disciplines, backgrounds, places and ages. What they tend to have in common is a passion for doing good in the world - whether that's through art, activism, business, banking, fashion, food, politics or parenting. In doing good for others, they all too often neglect to do good for themselves. The Escape is the first step to change this, carving out the time for you.

The Escape was started by a group of friends, inspired by our own experiences of overcoming burnout, imposter syndrome and low confidence, and wanting to create the space and the supportive network missing in our lives. We invited our friends to our first Escape in May 2017, and realising we'd created something really very special we've not looked back since. This is now our fifth Escape, and we can't wait to welcome you.
